As of 2012, the university consists of 57 departments in the experimental, life, social and human sciences, spread among 13 faculties/schools. All these centers together award a total of 85 qualifications in the form of first degrees, diplomas, and engineering degrees. Moreover, almost 80 doctoral programs, and more than 80 other postgraduate programs are offered.

On July 27, an amendment to the decree marked the initiation of the establishment of various faculties at the university, including the Faculty of Literature, Language, Art, and the Humanities, the Faculty of Medicine, the Faculty of Science, and the Faculty of Economical Sciences.

Approximately ten weeks later, on October 6, the inaugural course of the Faculty of Literature, Language, Art, and the Humanities was launched at Sant Cugat del Vallès Monastery. Concurrently, in the same month, the Faculty of Medicine was established at the Hospital de Sant Pau in Barcelona.

In 1969, a pivotal agreement was executed for the acquisition of the land that currently serves as the university campus.

  • Have enough money for your stay.
  • Be a genuine temporary entrant.
  1. Application Form: Complete the application form provided by the chosen Italian university. This is often available online on the university's official website.

  2. Educational Documents:

    • High School Diploma or equivalent for undergraduate programs.
    • Bachelor's degree and transcripts for master's or postgraduate programs.
    • Translations of academic documents if they are not in Italian or English. These translations may need to be certified.
  3. Language Proficiency: Proof of proficiency in the language of instruction (usually Italian or English). This may include language test scores such as IELTS, TOEFL, or relevant Italian language proficiency tests.

  4. Curriculum Vitae (CV) or Resume: Provide a detailed CV or resume outlining your academic and professional background, extracurricular activities, and any relevant experiences.

  5. Letter of Motivation: Write a letter explaining your motivation for choosing the specific program, your career goals, and why you want to study in Italy. This is often a crucial part of the application process.

  6. Letters of Recommendation:  Include letters of recommendation from teachers, professors, or employers who can vouch for your academic abilities and character.

  7. Portfolio (if applicable): For programs in the arts, design, or architecture, you may need to submit a portfolio showcasing your work.

  8. Copy of Passport: Provide a copy of your passport or other identification documents.

  9. Proof of Financial Means: Demonstrate your ability to cover living expenses and tuition fees. This may include bank statements, scholarship award letters, or a financial guarantee letter.

  10. Health Insurance: Obtain health insurance coverage that is valid in Italy. Some universities may offer their own insurance plans for students.

  11. Visa Application: If you are a non-European Union student, you will likely need a student visa. Check with the Italian embassy or consulate in your home country for specific requirements.

  12. Pre-Enrollment Application (for Non-EU Students): Non-EU students may need to complete a pre-enrollment application through the Italian embassy or consulate in their home country.
